Marco Müller and Nicolas Sourvinos spent several years documenting amateur graffiti throughout Europe, intrigued by this form of teenage self-expression which is framed between being illegal in the public sphere and illegitimate in a graffiti context. This first version of the artist book collects our photographs into a booklet of monochrome riso prints (one year later published as a full color version at Kodoji Press).
The cover includes a text taken from an American anti-graffiti website, explaining the many ways in which graffiti damages the community, including strategies on how to prevent, remove, and report vandalism.
